A Weekend

We just had a weekend. No, I'm not being silly. Do you remember what a weekend actually is? It's when you spend at least two days with the family and you are happy and relaxed and have fun together. Normally our Saturdays are filled with running errands, trying to clean up the house, stuff like that. Sundays can be almost as busy. But this last weekend, we actually had a weekend.

We didn't run around all day on Saturday. We did a little bit of work in the yard and around the house, but much less than the norm. It was a laid back day; very pleasant. On Sunday we went to church in Logan to see Katie and Greg's baby blessing and then had a lunch with all the fam afterwards. Sitting around and talking after a meal is not something that happens for me very often. Um, sitting down FOR the meal is not something that happens for me very often. ;) So eating, chatting, laughing boisterously, watching the kids play with the grown-ups that still have energy (i.e., don't have kids yet), was SO NICE. We left full, happy, relaxed.

Even my YW meeting Sunday night was fun and relaxing and a nice evening with other women. So yes, it was a lovely, lovely weekend.

I actually felt ready to take on Monday morning. And that's saying something.
