Why Living With a Toddler Is Like a Comedy Routine

Me: "Aiden, please load your plate in the dishwasher."
Aiden: "I want the red thingy."
Me: "What red thingy?"
Aiden: "Where is the thingy?"
Me: "I thought you said 'red thingy'."
Aiden: "No, I want the markers!"
Me: "Oh. Well first you need to load your plate in the dishwasher..."
